May is Military Appreciation Month and here at Freedom Mortgage supporting the military, especially veterans, is something we do every day because it’s a part of our DNA. As the #1 VA Lender in the country*, we are proud to help veterans and active-duty military personnel realize the dream of homeownership.

Years ago, I realized there was ample opportunity to learn more about government backed loans and how Freedom Mortgage could be the trusted partner to assist military borrowers find the right mortgage option tailored to their financial needs. Unfortunately, many Americans are not aware that there are a variety of government backed loans they can take advantage of to help finance their first home, with very little to no down payment and with low credit scores.

In addition to providing home financing, Freedom Mortgage is active in supporting the communities in which we live and work. More specifically, we are passionate about supporting service members, veterans, and their families through Team Freedom Cares, our employee engagement and philanthropic program. Over the years, our employees have composed over 7,000 messages of gratitude for our service members through an annual Project Gratitude program.

Since the creation of Team Freedom Cares, Freedom Mortgage and its employees have donated over $500,000 to organizations supporting military and veterans. We are proud to have worked with dozens of organizations over the years that support the military and our veterans including USO of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey; the Veterans Build Program for Habitat for Humanity; and Homes for Our Troops.

Additionally, I’m so proud of our 160 employees who have self-identified as veterans. We welcome more veterans to reach out and embark on an exciting career in mortgage lending. For more information, I invite you to visit: https://careers.freedommortgage.com/.

During Military Appreciation Month, Freedom Mortgage is supporting the USO of Greater Jacksonville and USO of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey, so they can send some care packages to deployed troops.

On behalf of Freedom Mortgage and our employees, it is with immense gratitude that I say thank you to all current service members, veterans, and their families.

Lastly, as Memorial Day is approaching, I want to also remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Thank you.

The decision to grow: the moment of go

I've been asked how I knew when it was time to invest in order to be in a position to grow, perhaps because many other companies were not able to handle the demands that the market presented this year.
