A recent poll from Realtor.com indicates that the holiday season may be a good time to sell your home.
The poll found that an increasing number of Realtors feel that selling during the holiday season, which spans from November 23 to January 2, rather than waiting for warmer weather has some significant advantages, including more serious buyers and less competition from competing sellers.
Among the respondents, 60 percent of Realtors agreed that the holiday season was a good time to sell, while only 1 percent felt it was a bad idea. Meanwhile, 17 percent of Realtors said that cold weather allows sellers to make seasonal changes to improve your home value, such as decorating or creating a cozy atmosphere.
However, the poll also found that the biggest disadvantage of selling during the holiday season was keeping your home open house ready, which means cleaned and staged. In addition, more than 80 percent of respondents said that posting photos online of the property is crucial to the selling process since less buyers are likely to attend an open house during the cold weather.
