Freedom Mortgage Year-end Statements (Form 1098) are mailed to customers by January 31. It’s important to keep an eye out for these forms as you’ll need them at tax time!

What is the Year End Statement or Form 1098?

Your year-end statement (Form 1098) is used to report mortgage interest paid during 2017. This figure is important if you plan to deduct this from your taxes if you’re eligible (consult your tax advisor regarding deductions). If you have an escrow account, your year-end statement may also include the amount of property taxes you paid (another important potential tax deduction).

Did you miss your form in the mail? You can always download a copy through your account on Sign in, and go to “Statements and Documents” where you can view and download your statement. Remember, forms will be available by January 31.

If you have any questions about your Year-end Statement, please reach out to our customer care team at (855) 690-5900. Representatives are available to assist you Monday through Friday from 8 am – 10 pm ET and Saturday 9 am – 6 pm ET.
